Submit an online application

Building Control offers an online application service, through our Building Control Citizens Portal. This can be used for electronic submission of Full Plans, Building Notices, Regularisations, Temporary Structures, and Demolition applications.

Please be aware that under the Building Safety Act 2022, applicants (Duty Holder) and their Principal Designer and Principal Contractor are required to declare that the building work carried out is in compliance with building regulations, as part of the process toward releasing a completion certificate.

Go to the Building Control Citizen Portal.

You will be able to:

  • submit your Full Plans or Building Notice applications electronically
  • submit electronic drawings with your application
  • submit your application at any time of the day or evening
  • save time and money on postage and paper copies of plans

We will confirm the fee and advise you how to make a payment on receipt of your application. Applications will not be valid until payment is received.

Alternatively applications can also be submitted online on the planning portal.

From 29 April 2024, there will be a charge of £21 to submit an application via the Planning Portal.
