Help to improve our website

We are making some improvements to our website, and we are looking for your feedback to help us understand more about your experience when using it and how we can make it better.

Basic and vocational skills training

You can access classes in language, employment and other skills in learning centres and libraries around the borough 

We have two library-based learning centres - First Steps Learning Centre at the Central Library, and Islington Computer Skills Centre at the Finsbury Library.

The Adult and Community Learning service offers a range of free courses in our learning centres for Islington residents and parents with children in Islington schools who would like to improve their skills and life chances. 

There are courses and training sessions on:

  • maths, English and ESOL (English for speakers of other languages)
  • digital skills
  • vocational and employment skills
  • family learning
