Local History Centre
Our centre has a wide range of resources on the history of the borough, including books, maps, illustrations, newspapers, trade directories and archive material.
Access to the centre is by appointment only. Email local.history@islington.gov.uk to make an appointment.
The centre will be closed for the festive holidays and a stocktake:
- 23 December 2024 to 17 January 2025
We will not be able to answer email or phone queries until 20 January 2025. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Our usual access times are:
- Monday: 9am - 1pm, 2 - 8pm
- Tuesday: 9am - 1pm, 2 - 5pm
- Wednesday: 9am - 1pm, 2 - 5pm
- Thursday: 9am - 1pm, 2 - 5pm
- Friday: 9am - 1pm, 2 - 5pm
- Saturday: 9am - 1pm, 2 - 5pm (every second Saturday in the month)
