Safeguarding check for cultural partners
The safety and wellbeing of Islington’s children and young people is of highest importance to Islington Council and schools. The scale of the 11 by 11 programme means that we have a duty to satisfy school leaders that all of our cultural organisations are compliant with the borough’s safeguarding standards set out by Islington’s Safeguarding Board.
We ask organisations to send their Safeguarding Policy and most recent Safeguarding Training Certificate to the Cultural Enrichment Team, who will review this with the Islington Safeguarding Children Partnership Board. Organisations must also read the 11 by 11 Safeguarding Policy and commit to its guidelines when offering activities for the programme.
Cultural partners who do not have up to date training can access free safeguarding certification as an 11 by 11 partner. You can complete this on the MyLearning platform, delivered by the Islington Safeguarding Children Partnership.
