As energy bills continue to rise, you should know that there is help and advice on ways to reduce those bills. This includes financial support as well as tips on keeping your home warm as it gets colder while saving energy.
Together we can not only save money but also help reduce wasting energy and our impact on climate change.
The Government has several funds available for vulnerable and less well-off people looking to keep their home warm for less this winter.
Check if you qualify for:
- cold weather payment (if you get certain benefits)
- Warm Home Discount Scheme
- winter fuel payment.
There are also a range of low cost and no cost measures you can take to save energy and reduce your bills. Visit the Together Greener website to find information on how different meters can help save energy.
Islington residents who meet any one of the following criteria can also apply to our SHINE service for help:
- over 60 years old

People who meet these criteria could access energy and bills advice, electricity and water discounts or energy debt support amongst other services.
