Hire a space at Jean Stokes Community Centre

A range of spaces are available with different facilities for your next event or activity.

These spaces are available to hire at Jean Stokes Community Centre

They are available:

  • Monday to Saturday, 10am to 9pm
  • Sunday, 10am to 8pm

Main hall

This spacious area is ideal for occasions such as:

  • birthdays
  • anniversaries
  • community events

The maximum capacity is 100 people. 

It comes with a fully fitted semi-commercial kitchen and audio-visual (AV) system.

The main hall is a large rectangular space with wooden flooring and windows at one end. There is a piece of art hanging on the wall on the left wall and double doors on the right wall.

Meeting rooms

The large meeting room comes with a kitchenette.

The small meeting rooms are ideal for small group activities such as:

  • craft groups
  • homework clubs
  • community learning programmes.
The meeting room is a medium-sized room with a large table in the centre surrounded by over ten chairs. There is a television or computer screen and sink. One wall is made of windows.

Workshop space

The large, flexible workshop spaces are great for:

  • group activities
  • community learning
  • training

It comes with a kitchenette.

The workshop is a very large space with multiple tables and chairs.

Community room

The community room is a welcome and inviting space for visitors to sit and informally gather with friends and neighbours.

This space is not bookable but is open for use when the centre is open.

The community room is a fairly small room that has large windows with benches alongside them so you can sit down. It has a view out of the front of the centre onto the street.
