Access Islington hubs
To make it easier for people to get the help they need, we are developing three Access Islington hubs, in north, central and south Islington.
What are Access Islington Hubs?
Access Islington Hubs are friendly and welcoming spaces where you will find a wide range of advice and support services all under one roof. We can help with:
- Money. Get help with your budget, finance and debt matters.
- Food. We can signpost food banks, provide food bank vouchers and get longer-term support through our community partners.
- Wellbeing. Whatever is affecting your wellbeing, we can connect you to the right support through a range of local services.
- Housing. We can help with your housing queries and connect you to services such as Housing Needs, Housing Repairs and the Citizen’s Advice Bureau.
- Family life. We can connect you to services for information and advice about childcare, activities and services for parents and carers, children and young people.
- Community Safety. We can connect you to the right support if you’re affected by crime or anti-social behaviour.
- Work. Whether you are looking for your first job or a new job, the hubs can help you get the right support for you.
How it works
The Access Islington Hubs offer a combination of drop in advice and support surgeries as well as pre-booked advice and guidance sessions. If you need extra help with something, you can speak to one of our friendly Access Islington Advisors and they will take some time to talk to you and understand what you need help with before making sure you get the service or support you need.
Services available at the Hubs
There are a wide range of services available at the hub, including housing advice, money and benefits advice, employment support and many more. Services are available on a timetabled basis to make it easier for you to get the help and support you need.
