Safer Routes to Estates Programme

Safer Routes to Estates Programme

The Safer Routes to Estates Programme delivers public realm improvements that are designed to make it easier and safer for residents to access local shops, services, public transport facilities and employment centres.

Improvements could include traffic calming measures, cycling and pedestrian improvements, better street lighting, new low level planting or street trees.

The Council is currently looking at opportunities for projects for delivery during 2018/19, and is working with local ward Councillors to identify priorities for the programme in their local area. Once priorities are identified, the Council then works with local residents and organisations, such as Tenant and Resident Associations, to further develop these ideas.

If you have an idea for the programme or would like to find out more, please email Deanna Walker or call 0207 527 1825.
