Some blue badge holders can apply for a dedicated parking bay near their home or work place.
You can apply if:
- you are a Blue Badge holder
- there is no parking that is a reasonable distance to your home or workplace
- you can't walk more than 20 metres - you may need to take a medical assessment to prove this
- you get the higher rate component of the Disability Living Allowance for life.
If your application is successful, we need to send a consultation to everyone who lives nearby. When the consultation and legal documents are completed, we can install the bay.
Cost
We do not charge you for installing your dedicated disabled bay.
