Bookstart

Bookstart gifts free books to all children at two key ages - 0-12 and 36-48 months - to help families read together every day and to inspire children with a love of books.

Bookstart encourages parents to enjoy books with their child at an early age, helping inspire a love of reading that will give them a flying start in life. Bookstart provides free book packs to every child in England.

The Bookstart Baby Pack for children aged 0-12 months contains books and reading tips and can be picked up from your health visitor.

The Bookstart Treasure Pack is for children aged 3 and is gifted through your nursery, playgroup or Children’s Centre. You can also geta Bookshine Pack for a child who is deaf or a Booktouch Pack for a child with a visual impairment.

There are lots of other things for babies and toddlers on the Bookstart website

Please ask at your local library if you are having a problem getting a pack, as they may be able to obtain a pack for you or put you in touch with someone who can.
