Islington Council is a landlord of around 36,300 homes - 25,500 are tenanted homes and 10,800 are leasehold properties. Our ambition to make Islington a fairer and more equal place starts with everyone in our community having a decent, genuinely affordable and a safe place to call home.

Partners for Improvement (Partners)
Partners manage and maintain around 2,800 homes for the council under a 30-year contract (until 2033). The contract was set up as a Private Finance Initiative (PFI) to bring these homes up to the decent homes standard and keep them at this level.
Housing Revenue Account
See all expenses and income from council housing (called the Housing Revenue Account) in the Islington Council Statement of Accounts 2023/24. You can also find directors’ pay and management costs in the Statement of Accounts.
We will publish our Housing Revenue Account business plan on this page in the next few months.
