Notice of Election: London Borough of Islington election of a borough councillor for Junction Ward on 28 November 2024

Number of councillors to be elected: one (1).

  1. Forms of nomination for the Borough Election may be obtained at Electoral Services, Room G04, Islington Town Hall, Upper Street, London, N1 2UD from the Returning Officer who will, at the request of an elector for any electoral area prepare a nomination paper for signature.

  2. Nomination papers must be delivered to the Returning Officer, Electoral Services, Room G04, Islington Town Hall, Upper Street, London, N1 2UD on any day after the date of this notice, on Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (excluding bank holidays) but no later than 4pm on Friday, 1 November 2024.

  3. If any election is contested the poll will take place on Thursday, 28 November 2024.

  4. Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by midnight on Tuesday, 12 November 2024. Applications can be made online: www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.

  5. Applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes and amendments or cancellations of proxy votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Electoral Services, Room G04, Islington Town Hall, Upper Street, London, N1 2UD by 5pm on Wednesday, 13 November 2024. You may apply online or download a form at www.gov.uk/apply-postal-vote or contact the Electoral Registration Office direct.

  6. Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate (free voter ID), or an Anonymous Elector's Document valid for this election, must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Electoral Services, Room G04, Islington Town Hall, Upper Street, London, N1 2UD by 5pm on Wednesday 20 November 2024.

  7. New applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Electoral Services, Islington Town Hall, Upper Street, London, N1 2UD by 5pm on Wednesday, 20 November 2024. You can find information and, dependent upon your proxy type, apply online at www.gov.uk/how-to-vote/voting-by-proxy.

  8. Applications to vote by emergency proxy must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Electoral Services, Room G04, Islington Town Hall, Upper Street, London, N1 2UD by 5pm on Thursday, 28 November 2024.
